Former Bangladesh cricketer Khaled Mahmud Sujan had a lot of contribution behind Bangladesh Under-19 team's historic success in the just concluded ICC Under-19 World Cup 2020. So no matter how much Sujan is trolled and criticized by the Bangladeshi cricket fans, he deserves the most honour for Bangladesh's such unprecedented success, believes the President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Nazmul Hasan Papon. Earlier the official broadcasters had also mentioned Sujan's name during the final match between Bangladesh and India on Sunday, claiming that Bangladesh's success had been the result of Sujan's vision. The BCB boss also echoed same sentiments on Monday. Besides he was also of the opinion that Sujan has been quite unfortunate despite working so hard for Bangladesh cricket. "I am mentioning Sujan's name for the first time today. Actually nobody says anything against the previous boards. But the current board is always at the receiving end of everyone's aggressive comments, and Khaled Mahmud Sujan has to face these the most. I never heard anything positive about him." He also added, "But as I was saying, whoever works the most for cricket and thinks nothing else, he becomes victims of these, What I want to say today is that if anyone deserves the highest honour from the board, then it must be Sujan." Earlier the Young Tigers registered their maiden ICC Under-19 World Cup title after beating favourites India cricket by three wickets in the summit clash at JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom on Sunday. It also happens to be Bangladesh's first ever triumph in any global competition.
