Mumbai also had a match on the same day. Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and set Mumbai a target of 201 runs. All-rounder Cameron Green scored a century to ensure Mumbai's victory. He played an unbeaten innings of 100 runs off 47 balls. However, Mumbai looked up to Gujarat to make it to the playoffs. Therefore, after Gujarat's victory, Sachin thanked Gill and Green, the two centurions of the two teams, at the same time.
Sachin took to Twitter and wrote, “Cameron Green & Shubman Gill batted well for Mumbai Indians. Amazing innings by Virat Kohli too to score back-to-back 100’s. They all had their methods & were in the class of their own. So happy to see MI in the playoffs. Go Mumbai.”
