Speaking at a press conference ahead of their match against Chattogram Kings, Taijul shared his perspective, "It’s completely normal that I haven’t played much. Rishad and Tanvir are already representing Bangladesh in T20s, so there’s no question of me playing ahead of them. The team is winning, and that’s what matters the most."

Despite limited opportunities, Taijul praised the team’s atmosphere and leadership, highlighting Tamim Iqbal’s role in maintaining unity and balance in the squad.

While payment disputes have been a major controversy in BPL 2025, Fortune Barishal players have received 50% of their payments, with the next installment expected soon. Addressing the issue, Taijul Islam confirmed, "We have already received 50% of our payments, and the next 25% should be cleared within a few days."

Test and ODI captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, who has played fewer games this season, remarked, "I don’t know the exact reason, but our bench strength is so strong that we could probably form another competitive team."
