The next edition of the Asia Cup is being scheduled to take place in Pakistan and India's cricket team refusing to travel there, concerns are also likely to be mounted on a few Indian support staff members who are attached to several international teams.

Indian physio Prasanth Panchada, who is attached to the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), and the Afghanistan team is also scheduled to travel to Pakistan and play a few matches in Lahore.

He was appointed as cricket physio in February 2020 and had been part of the team’s tours and at camps held in India and the UAE and Sri Lanka.

Our attempts to contact Prasanth Panchada regarding his travel plans to Pakistan were unsuccessful as he was not reachable. It may be recalled here that Lalchand Rajput, during his coaching stint with the Zimbabwe team, could not travel to Pakistan.

It is to be seen what fate would be now for Prasanth Panchada, who was in the Hyderabad Ranji Trophy team and is now also the Head physio for Kolkata Knight Riders.

Another notable case is of Srinivas Chandra Sekharan. The Lucknow Super Giants team analyst is also attached to the Bangladesh national team as its Computer Analyst and the Bangladesh team is also likely to be playing in Pakistan in the Asia Cup.
