India registered a dominating win over Windies in the 3rd ODI and sealed the series by 2-1. They have beaten Windies by a massive margin of 200 runs on Wednesday (2nd August) in Trinidad.
Earliee the day Windies won the toss and chose to bowl first on a belter of a pitch. Indian openers literally cashed on everything and kept the run rate high. Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill put on a show in Trinidad. The duo added 143 runs inside 19 overs before Kishan fell to Cariah for a magnificent 77 off 64 balls. His partner Gill made 85 off 92 balls before falling to Motie. Ruturaj Gaikwad was insipid on the occasion as he couldn’t do anything.
But the middle order batters absolutely ripped through West Indian bowlers. Sanju Samson made a quick-fire 51 off 41 balls. While the skipper Hardik Pandya raced to 70 off just 52 balls. At the end, Hardik and Suryakumar's rapid fire innings helped India post an indomitable 351 runs on the board.
In reply of 352, Windies lost their dynamic opener Brandon King earlier of the innings as he made a 5 ball duck. Kyle Mayers just scored 4 from 10 balls. Alick Athanaze had some time at the middle as he scored a fine 32 off 50 deliveries. Since then no one from the middle order could score double digit. He got flopped horribly and hence Windies lost the match by a massive margin. However at the end, Alzarri Joseph and Motie smacked for a while but that was too late to win. Ultimately India won the match by 200 runs.
Shubman Gill was named as the player of the match for his fine 85. And Ishan Kishan was the player of thr series. With the win, India sealed the series by 2-1.
