Former England world cup winning captain Eoin Morgan has heaped praise on Team India for their aggressive approach in Test cricket, particularly their resounding victory against Bangladesh in Kanpur. As India continues to dominate Test matches on home soil, Morgan highlighted how their mindset and approach could pose serious questions for Australia, especially when tackling spinners like Nathan Lyon
"If they go to Australia and play in that manner, a big part of the series will lie in how they play Nathan Lyon. If they take that mindset into playing him, it asks a lot of questions of Australia," Morgan stated at the launch of the International Masters League.
India’s 2-0 series win over Bangladesh marked their 18th consecutive Test series win at home. The last time India lost a Test series at home was in 2012 against England. Since then, they have lost only four Tests in their own conditions, solidifying their dominance.
Morgan acknowledged this exceptional achievement, stating that India's hunger and desire to win sets them apart. “They have to be considered one of the greatest in their own conditions. Their attitude, the way they never take things for granted, makes them so good," Morgan remarked.
He went on to say, “We come from countries that have huge home advantages, but our records over generations are nowhere near as good as India's.”
With India prepares for another home series, this time against New Zealand, the team's amazing home domination remains a hot topic in world cricket.
