The five-match Test series between England and India is tied 1-1 at the moment after England triumphed India in the third Test at Leeds. It was a completely dominant performance by the hosts right from the opening day to make a come back into the series.
India were bowled out for 78 runs in their first innings after electing to bat first. In reply, England had gigantic first innings which laid the base for the innings win. England took a lead of 354 runs in the first innings. After conceding a big lead, India put up a fight on day three.
With the help of 82 runs partnership between Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara India took a good start to their second innings. The partnership was followed by 99 runs partnership between Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli. The duo started the day four morning for India.
But it was another nightmare start for India at Leeds. England bowlers were ripping through the Indian batting lineup as none of them managed to get a hold in the crease. In the end, India were bowled out for 278 runs in the second innings. Ollie Robinson picked up a five-wicket haul. In the end, England won the Test by an innings and 76 runs. With this win, England have levelled the series 1-1.
