England's short outing in Sri Lanka has come to conclusion, with a clean sweep by visitors in the two-match Test series. As a result, England were bowled out for 344 in their first innings and conceded a lead of 37 runs. The hosts were in a commanding position to start the second innings. But England bowlers made a twist in the tale as Sri Lankan batsmen were collapsed in the morning session itself. With a crucial 40 runs from Lasith Embuldeniya, Sri Lanka managed to score 126 runs in the second innings. With that England were asked to chase 164 runs to win the second Test. The visitors were steady in the crucial run chase, which is a difficult one in Galle. At one point, England lost three wickets in regular intervals. But the partnership between Jos Buttler and Dominic Sibley ensured the chase on the visitors' side. Both of them remained not out and completed the chase for the loss of four wickets.
