In the second match of the 10th season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Chattogram Challengers gave Sylhet Strikers a taste of defeat. Chattogram won by 7 wickets in a thrilling match.

Chattogram won the toss and decided to field first at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, known as the 'Home of Cricket'. Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mohammad Mithun opened the innings for Sylhet. Shanto struggled for runs but Mithun was comparatively at ease.

Shanto scored 36 runs off 30 balls with 7 fours and was dismissed at the team’s 68 runs. Mithun also departed at the team’s 95 runs. Before that, he hit 4 fours and 2 sixes on his way to 40 off 28 balls, at a strike rate of 142.85.

Zakir Hasan and Harry Tector took the lead of the team in the third wicket. Zakir's devastating batting gave Sylhet a big collection. Zakir was in fine form on the day he brought up his sixth T20I career half-century.

Zakir remained unbeaten on 68 runs from 42 balls till the end of the innings. Besides, Tector remained unbeaten on 26 runs off 20 balls. After losing 2 wickets at the end of the scheduled 20 overs, Sylhet's total was 177 runs.

Chattogram lost Tanzid Hasan Tamim in the beginning in reply. Avishka Fernando tried to score quick runs, but he also departed after scoring 39 runs off 23 balls. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza dismissed Imranuzzaman with the ball after 250 days.

After losing the third wicket for 59 runs, Chattogram turned around incredibly in the fourth wicket. Shahadat Hossain Dipu and Najibullah Zadran's unbroken partnership of 121 runs gave Chattogram win with 9 balls and 7 wickets in hand. Dipu scored 57 off 39 balls and Zadran remained unbeaten on 61 off 30 balls.
