And St. Lucia has used this opportunity. The Darren Sammy-led side have bought Jamaica's Chris Gayle for the eighth edition of the tournament following their decision to leave. KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited bought ownership of St Lucia Zouks a couple of months ago. They also own the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kings XI Punjab. Gayle is currently playing for Punjab in the IPL.
Gayle played for Jamaica in the first four editions of the CPL. Later he moved to St Kitts & Nevis Patriots for two seasons. He rejoined Jamaica last season. Although he scored 116 runs in the second match, Gayle was able to score only 243 runs in total.
