Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers Bangaluru to clinch their second win of the season. Jasprit Bumrah's onburst with the ball at the Wankhede and then Suryakumar Yadav's swashbuckling batting took Mumbai home infront of their fans.

Being invited to bat first, RCB had a horrible way to start the innings. Jasprit Bumrah removed Virat Kohli with the new ball and then Akash Madhwal had the debutant Will Jacks for cheaply, Shreyas Gopal trapped Glenn Maxwell for a duck and RCB were reduced to 108-4. However Rajat Patidar and RCB skipper Faf du Plessis notched up their maiden fifties of the season to steer the ship.

Both of them laid a strong foundation for RCB despite the failures of Virat - Jacks and Maxwell. At the backend of the innings, Dinesh Karthik came with all guns blazing to finish the innings on a high. He raced his way to 53 off just 23 balls and RCB amassed 196-8 in the alloted 20 overs.

Amidst the run fest it was Jasprit Bumrah who stood tall for Mumbai Indians, he picked up a fifer and gave away only 21 runs.

In reply, Ishan Kishan utilised the entire powerplay with Rohit playing the second fiddle role. Ishan smashed a breathtaking fifty and made a glorious 69 off only 34 balls. While Suryakumar Yadav notched up his fastest fifty of his IPL career, he took only 17 balls to reach to his half century. This duo made the mockery of the chase. At the backend of the innings, Mumbai Indians skippet Hardik Pandya played another swashbuckling knock of 21 off only 6 balls to chase down the total inside just 15.3 balls.
