Four foreign cricketers have come to Bangladesh to play in the ninth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). All four cricketers come to play for the reigning champions Comilla Victorians. They have already joined the team in Chattogram.

Two of the four foreign cricketers are from Pakistan- leg spinner Abrar Ahmed and pacer Hasan Ali. Abrar showed outstanding performances recently on his Test debut for the national team. Besides, the remaining two are West Indies cricketers- Johnson Charles and Chadwick Walton. With the inclusion of four foreigners, the strength of Comilla's team will undoubtedly increase a lot.

Three-time champions Comilla Victorians are yet to win this tournament. They played two matches and lost both. Besides, the two big stars of the team, Dawid Malan and Mohammad Nabi, left to play in the franchise league ILT20 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As a result, the balance of the team is supposed to be a bit shaky. However, with the inclusion of four new foreigners, that loss is expected to be reduced a lot.

Apart from this, there is still doubt over star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi’s participation in BPL. So, in the pace bowling unit, Comilla will have to rely on Hasan Ali for the next few days.

Comilla Victorians are currently at the bottom of the table (7th place) having lost 2 matches so far.
