Babar Azam may lead Pakistan again
The offer to put Babar back in charge of Pakistan has not been accepted yet. Babar could become captain of ODI and T20, or he could become captain again in all three forms. If Babar accepts the PCB's offer, Shaheen Shah Afridi will lose the T20 leadership. Shaheen will no longer be captain after the five-match T20 series against New Zealand and taking over as captain.

Pakistani cricket promises an endless stream of dramatic moments. After the One-Day International World Cup, Babar Azam stepped down as captain, however, he is in contention to lead Pakistan once more. Of course! In the white-ball format, Babar could be seen leading Pakistan once more.
Popular cricket website ESPNcricinfo has published a report about Babar's captaincy. According to ESPNcricinfo, PCB president Mohsin Naqvi conferred with Babar earlier this week to propose him the white-ball captaincy. Additionally, the report stated that Babar Azam desires the leadership of all three formats, not just ODI and T20.

When the head of the PCB hinted at a change in captain a few days ago, it was thought that Shaheen's time as captain was running out. After the army training, Mohsin Naqvi said, a choice would be made about the captain. ESPNcricinfo says that the PCB no longer trusts Shaheen after the 4-1 loss to New Zealand in a series and the failure of his team, Lahore Qalandars, in the PSL. In the last PSL season, Lahore only won one of ten games.
If Babar's demand is accepted, Test captain Shan Masood, who led Pakistan in a series, should also be removed from the captaincy. No new ODI captain has been announced yet. Babar may return to Pakistan's captaincy with the upcoming New Zealand home series in April. Pakistan will play a five-match T20I series against the Kiwis.
