In a very important match in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) relegation round, Brothers Union beat Partex Sporting Club easily to stay in the top flight. Partex Sporting Club and Shinepukur Cricket Club have now been sent to the first division.

Both teams had to win, but Brothers Union didn't show any signs of stress. At the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, they beat Partex in every way.

Brothers Union scored a strong 294/9 in 50 overs when they batted first, thanks to a strong opening partnership of 120 runs.  Mahfijul Islam Robin got the most with 98, just missing out on a hundred.  A smooth fifty by skipper Myshukur Rahman was also helpful. Aich Mollah's (48) and Mizanur Rahaman's (42) contributions made sure of a good end.

Partex bowlers had a hard time stopping the runs.  Shohidul Islam, Alauddin Babu, and Yasen Muntasir, on the other hand, each got two wickets.

In reply, Partex Sporting Club were bundled out for only 181 runs, falling short with 12.5 overs to spare.  Without Adil's brave 85 off 74 balls, the score might have been even worse for one team.  Any batter other than Rakib (17) and Ahrar Amin (33), however, failed to score 10 runs.

Brothers Union's bowlers stepped up with a great game. Alok Kapali and Rakibul Atik each took three wickets, and Salauddin Shakil took two. This made it harder for Partex to score runs.

With this win, Brothers Union finished first in the relegation round table and will stay in the DPL for the next season.
