Rishad Hossain goes wicketless as Lahore Qalandars suffer defeat against Peshawar Zalmi
When Lahore lost the toss and had to bat, their game never really got going. Their top order fell apart, and they were at 44 for 6 in the blink of an eye. Even though Rishad Hossain was moved up a spot, he could only score 13 runs off 13 balls. There was one bright spot for Lahore: Sikandar Raza, who scored 52 runs off 37 balls, gave his team some dignity. Lahore were finally out after 19.2 overs when they were bowled out for 129.

Lahore Qalandars and Bangladesh's young leg-spinner Rishad Hossain had bad night as they lost their second straight game in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 season. This time, Peshawar Zalmi easily beat Lahore. They reached the target with 20 balls to spare and 7 wickets in hand at the Gaddafi Stadium.

The bowlers for Peshawar did very well. Alzarri Joseph got three wickets while Hussain Talat and Luke Wood took two wickets each, putting pressure on the game from both ends.
The run defended by Peshawar Zalmi was smooth and well-planned. Captain Babar Azam led the team to victory with a classy 56 off 42 balls. Hussain Talat stood by him and ended the game with him, Talat was unbeaten on 51 runs off 37 balls. Mohammad Haris added 20 runs off 16 balls.
In the ninth over, Rishad Hossain was added to the attack, but he didn't do much. He bowled two overs and conceded 18 runs without getting a wicket. As a result of the 11 runs that were scored in his second over, captain Shaheen Shah Afridi did not bring him back into the attack.
It was Shaheen who got the most out of the ball, taking two wickets, and Haris Rauf the other. But the bowling unit didn't have enough to protect a score that wasn't up to par.
