It was revealed by Cricket Australia (CA) on Tuesday afternoon that the World Cup champions Sean Abbott, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Steve Smith, and Adam Zampa will be returning home before to the fourth T20 match against India. Because of a wrist injury, Travis Head was unable to participate in the first half of the World Cup. Since then, he has decided to stay in India for the balance of the five-match bilateral series.
Wicket-keeper batter Josh Phillippe and big-hitter Ben Mcdermott, who have already joined the side and are eligible for tonight's third Twenty20 match, are coming in as reinforcements. They are both available for the match.
Before the fourth match, the team will be in Raipur, where the pacer Ben Dwarshuis and the spinner Chris Green will be joining them. Green will most likely make his debut for his country in either the match that concludes the series in Bengaluru or the match that takes place in Raipur.
Updated Australia squad: Matthew Wade (c), Jason Behrendorff, Tim David, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Chris Green, Aaron Hardie, Travis Head, Ben McDermott, Josh Philippe, Tanveer Sangha, Matt Short, Kane Richardson
