Afif, who was dropped for the Ireland series which Bangladesh won by 2-1 at home in March, returned to the team in place of Jaker Ali. The other change which is made to the team of last series is the inclusion of Ebadot.
Shakib Al Hasan will lead the team as usual. He was included in the ODI team yesterday which removed the doubt over his fitness. Rony Talukdar is also kept in the squad despite his omission from the ODI team.
As the only Test in Mirpur is over, the Afghan cricketers will now travel to the United Arab Emirates and camp in Abu Dhabi for the limited-overs series. The visitors will come back to Bangladesh in early July and play three ODIs and two T20Is. The first ODI will be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on July 5. The remaining two matches of the series are on July 8 and 11, at the same venue. After that, two groups will travel to Sylhet. Two T20Is will be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on July 14 and 16. However, no squad has been announced yet for the T20 series.
