Ravichandran Ashwin's Mankading incident of dismissing Jos Buttler didn't create as much of a controversy in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as Deepti Sharma did when she did Mankad England cricketer Charlie Dean. Deepti herself opened her mouth when there has been a lot of discussion around the world.

Deepti, however, claimed that she warned Charlie before committing the Mankad. She even informed the umpire that Charlie was repeatedly leaving the crease. However, the Indian spinner did not deny that Mankad was pre-planned.
Deepti said, "Nothing, it was our plan because she repeatedly... we had warned her also. We did it according to the rules and guidelines."
"Yes, yes definitely we did say because we told the umpires. But still she was there so we couldn't do anything."
English captain Heather Knight, however, dismissed Deepti's claims. She said, "No warnings were given.”
