Sunrisers Hyderabad sneaked away a narrow win over Rajasthan Royals only by one run on Thursday (2nd May). After the batting heroics of Nitish Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pat Cummins showed their class with the ball to defend the total.

SRH gave RR 202 target. At one point, RR were ahead of SRH as Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal had a 134 run stand but Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar helped SRH to recover the bad phase and comeback strong. Cummins gave away 24 runs off the first two overs but came back strongly as he conceded just 10 runs off the last two overs in death.

While Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled an exceptional spell with the new ball, removing Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson for ducks and defending 12 runs in the last over.

After the match Travis Head gave credit to both of the stalwart bowlers of SRH and said they showed them their class.

"It's a good win, it's probably one that we didn't expect at the end there. Cummins and Bhuvi showed their class at the end and got us a nice win. We've been playing well, we've had a couple of losses, nice for the energy. It was challenging but with the wicket and the way Pat bowled the 19th over, he'd be disappointed with the last ball, but class at the end, two class players, two of the old boys. Very satisfied with the win. I thought that (201) was a great score. Nitish played out of his skin again. He's had a couple of innings now where's he's stepped up, made it look really easy. It was a tough pitch. I felt we had heaps but that's T20 crickets, it comes down to the wire most times. Always nice to win in front of your home fans."
