As the new season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) approaches, Dhaka Capitals have secured a key addition to their squad by signing veteran Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera. Known for his explosive batting and effective medium pace, Perera will join the Dhaka franchise for the upcoming season, further strengthening their lineup.

Although Perera retired from international cricket, he continues to be a sought-after figure in franchise leagues due to his dynamic T20 abilities. He has built a reputation for finishing innings with aggressive, power-packed performances and remains a dependable medium-pacer. His past experiences in the BPL make him a valuable asset for Dhaka Capitals, where he’ll bring both skill and experience.
Aside from Perera, Dhaka Capitals have secured several top players for the upcoming season, including Bangladeshi stars Mustafizur Rahman and Tanzid Hasan Tamim, along with overseas players like Johnson Charles and Alex Hales. The team is also reportedly in talks with Australian opener Travis Head as they finalize their squad ahead of the BPL players’ draft on October 14.
