Cricket South Africa has announced a 16-members squad for their upcoming home games against the White Ferns.

Following the current ODI series against Pakistan, South Africa will take on New Zealand in a three-match ODI series and a five-match T20I series in Pietermaritzburg starting September 24. Notably, the Laura Wolvaardt led side suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Pakistan in the T20I series but fought back and won the first two ODIs of the series. They want to continue with the same momentum as this is the last ODI series they will play this calendar year.

South Africa will receive a significant boost with the return of their star all-rounder and vice-captain Chloe Tyron, who was placed on leave and subsequently unavailable during the ongoing Pakistan tour.

The rest of the squad is the same which is currently on a white-ball tour of Pakistan. The three-match ODI series will be part of the 2022-25 ICC Women's Championship cycle.

Clinton du Preez, Proteas Women Convenor of Selectors, spoke about the importance of maintaining a consistent contingent.
