Soumya, Afif back in Shanto-led Bangladesh ODI and T20I squads for New Zealand series
After playing against New Zealand at home, the Bangladesh team will go on a tour to New Zealand. Nasum Ahmed, who was in the World Cup squad, did not have a place in the announced squad.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against New Zealand in New Zealand.
After playing against New Zealand at home, the Bangladesh team will go on a tour to New Zealand. Nasum Ahmed, who was in the World Cup squad, did not have a place in the announced squad.
But all-rounder Soumya Sarkar has returned to the team. Afif Hossain has been also called up to the team. Apart from this, U-19 World Cup-winning spinner Rakibul Hasan has been called up to the ODI team for the first time. Taskin Ahmed and Mahmudullah Riyad are not in the squad also because of their injury. The selectors kept their trust in Tanzid Hasan Tamim in the opening despite a failure in the ODI World Cup.
Regular captain Shakib Al Hasan is not in this series. Although Litton Das is in the team, Mehidy Hasan Miraz will serve as vice-captain as Shanto's deputy.
