Cricket Australia (CA) has officially announced its men's squad for the upcoming T20I series against India. The series is scheduled to start immediately after the conclusion of the ongoing ODI World Cup. There were notable changes in squad selection and some familiar faces returned to the team.


Matthew Wade has been named captain of Australia's 15-man squad that will tour India for a five-match T20I series in November, four days after the 2023 World Cup final.

Eight members of Australia's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup squad will remain in India after the conclusion of the tournament after being named in a 15-player group for a five-match T20I series against Rohit Sharma's side.

The Aussies on Saturday named their squad for the five-match series starting November 23 in Visakhapatnam. keeper-batsman Matthew Wade will captain an Australian side that includes experienced heads David Warner, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa.

Matthew Wade has taken over as captain on an interim basis and Australia has been without a permanent T20 captain since February. Wade has not played international cricket since the T20 World Cup but was brought in as a substitute for the series against South Africa.
