B-Love Candy beat Galle Titans by 34 runs in the second qualifier of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) to reach the final. Two Bangladeshis Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan showed glimpses with bat and ball but could not win the match for the team. As a result, Galle was eliminated from the tournament. 

Kandy won the toss and elected to bat first at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Kandy did not start well in batting. Three batters – Mohammad Haris, Thanuka Dabare, and Sahan Arachchige– returned within 20 runs. Then Dinesh Chandimal and Wanindu Hasaranga led the team. Kandy's innings was progressing on the fluent batting of the two. They scored 26 runs losing 3 wickets from 6 overs of powerplay.

Chandimal played an innings of 38 runs off 37 balls. Hasaranga got out shortly before this. He got out after playing a destructive innings of 48 runs off 30 balls. 72 runs came from the pair of Chandimal and Hasaranga.

Angelo Mathews and Chaturanga de Silva played two cameo innings at the end. Mathews scored 24 runs off 17 balls. On the other hand, Chaturanga played an innings of 15 runs off 6 balls. With the combined efforts of all, Kandy lost 7 wickets in the 20 overs and collected 157 runs.

Shakib Al Hasan was excellent with the ball for Galle. He took 1 wicket for only 24 runs and there were 11 dot balls. Besides, Lahiru Kumara and Sonal Dinusha got 2 wickets each.

Litton gave Galle a good start in reply. The Kandy bowlers were bewildered by his blistering batting from the start. But the Bangladeshi batter could not prolong the innings. He returned to the dressing room after scoring 25 runs off 19 balls. Another opener Lasith Croospulle also disappointed. He scored 14 runs off 13 balls. Galle scored 44 runs losing 2 wickets from 6 overs of Powerplay. 

After that Shakib came down and showed some glimpses but failed to extend the innings. He was dismissed after scoring 17 runs off 15 balls. Sonal Dinusha took a lot of time but could not benefit. Sonal got out after playing an innings of 28 runs off 32 balls. After that, Galle's innings seemed to slow down. With the fall of wickets one after the other, they gradually fell out of the match. 

In the end, the chances of winning the match ended completely. After losing 8 wickets at the end of 20 overs, Galle scored 123 runs. Kandy secured the final with an easy win of 34 runs. 

Chaturanga, Mohammad Hasnain, and Hasaranga took 2 wickets for Kandy. With this win, Kandy is guaranteed the final. Their opponents in the final match is Dambulla Aura.
