Prime Bank Cricket Club have picked up their second consecutive win in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) T20, beating Shinepukur Cricket Club in a low-scoring thriller at Mirpur. Prime Bank edge past Shinepukur in low-scoring thriller

Needing 120 to win, Prime Bank had a required rate of 4.5 at one stage. That was the time the run chase jeopardised with the run-outs of Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Mithun. Spinner Tanvir Islam added more trouble as Prime Bank stumbled to 75/6 from 61/1 in a space of just three overs. Shoriful Islam turned Tanvir's third scalp with the score being 89/7. Experienced Raqibul Hasan steadied the ship with Nayeem Hasan, eventually winning the match by three wickets in the last over. Raqibul played 34 balls for his unbeaten 18 runs. Nayeem made 18* off 16 to help his side get over the line. Left-arm spinner Tanvir was exceptional with his figures of 3 for 12 in four overs. Earlier in the chase, skipper Anamul Haque fell for 5. Tamim took his last match's form making 32 off 27 with 4 fours and a six. Rony Talukdar played an attacking knock of 26 off 15. Put into bat, Shinepukur were rattled for 119 runs in 20 overs. Their skipper Towhid Hridoy (29) was the highest scorer. It was a rare case of the third game being played at a venue on the same day, which made the pitch play slower. Off-spinner Nayeem was the pick of the bowlers for Prime Bank as he took 3 for 24. Monir Hossain gave only 15 runs for his 2 wickets. Nahidul Islam, pacers Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful claimed one wicket apiece.
