The PCB had sacked the entire selection committee after the team's subpar performance in the 2023 ICC World Cup.
Following Pakistan's disappointing performance in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, the Pakistan Cricket Board acted quickly and sacked the entire selection committee. Rumors are circulating that after Morne Morkel, team director Mickey Arthur might also resign from his position due to the team's poor performance.
Those who were sacked by PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf were Tauseef Ahmed, Wajahatullah Wasti and Wasim Haider.
The announcement of the new selection committee is expected within two days.
The PCB is likely to take over the new main selection committee from one of the former cricketers.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf on Wednesday (November 15) summoned captain Babar Azam after his subpar performance in the ICC World Cup 2023 in India.
The PCB boss is expected to hold discussions with Azam regarding his individual and team performance in the World Cup. Azam will also give his opinion to Ashraf in this regard.
Pakistan head coach and team director will also submit their reports to Ashraf. Ashraf is expected to hold a separate meeting with team director Mickey Arthur.
