Pakistan beat Ireland by 3 wickets in another low scoring thriller in Florida. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Imad Wasim both shared 3 wickets each to skittle Ireland's innings to a meagre 106 runs. In reply, Babar Azam anchored Pakistan to the way to their target.

Being asked to bat first, Ireland had a horrid start. Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Amir dismantled the Irish top order inside the powerplay and left them crumble at 28-5. There were no resistance from top or middle order. Everyone was coming and couldn’t even stay for double digits.

It was Gareth Delany who provided the much needed resistance to the innings. He smashed a quick-fire 31 off 19 balls to help Ireland put up 100 [106] on the board.

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Imad Wasim shared three wickets each and Amir picked up two wickets.

In reply, Pakistan almost messed this chase as they were motoring towards the target at a strong pace at 52-2 but slipped to 62-6. But captain Babar Azam was there and provided the anchorship they needed. The two Afridis - Abbas Afridi and Shaheen Afridi also batted well, which helped Babar at the end of the innings.

Shaheen Afridi was unbeaten on a brisk 13* off 5, while Abbas Afridi scored 17 off 21 deliveries. Babar Azam top scored with a gritty 32 off 34 balls to take his side home.

Pakistan finish the tournament with two wins, while Ireland will end thr tournament being winless.
