South African batter David Miller has confirmed that he'll continue playing for his country amid retirement rumours. He was an integral member of South Africa's XI that lost to India by just 7 runs in the final of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados.

After the gut wrenching loss in the final, some online portals claimed that David Miller has retired from T20I's.
However, Miller has clarified that all those reports are incorrect.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Miller posted a picture of himself from the 2024 T20 World Cup and wrote:
"Contrary to some reports, I have NOT retired from T20 international cricket. I will continue to be available to play for the Proteas. The best is yet to come."
Miller represented 125 T20I matches for South Africa so far, piling up 2,439 runs, with his highest score being 106. The southpaw has a magnificent average of 33.41 and a jaw dropping strike rate of 140.66 in the T20I format.
David Miller had a golden chance to end South Africa's trophy drought in ICC events but he failed to do so as his team was needing 28 off 29 balls, which came down to 16 off the last over. With him being on strike, South Africa fans might have thought for something good but he was gone in the first ball and Proteas hopes as well.
