The third round of BCL (Bangladesh Cricket League) has been highlighted by excellent perfomances from Mushfiqur Rahim and Nayeem Hasan on the first day. Nayeem took 5 for 61 on debut

Test squad members Saif Hassan (1) and Nazmul Hossain Shanto (8) failed to impress. Marshall Ayub scored his 20th first-class ton, making 116 runs off 186 balls. Mustafizur Rahman played a cameo of unbeaten 26-ball 30 runs hitting 4 sixes and a four. Mahedi Hasan took 3 for 78. South Zone are 29/2 in 9 overs after the loss of Shahriar Nafees and Irfan Sukkur.
