Bangladesh won the only off test match against Ireland by 7 wickets in Mirpur. Mushfiqur scored 51* with Litton, Mominul and Tamim all contributed with their 20's to chase the total.
Ireland only could add 6 runs to their overnight score and was bundled for 292. They set a target of 138 for Bangladesh to reach, what Bangladesh reached quite comfortably.
Ebadat Hossain ripped through the Irish tail in the morning hour as he took both of the remaining batters. He knocked over McBrine first and then got Hume with a length delivery.
Chasing the meagre total, Bangladesh had a brisk start. Credit to Litton Das, he smashed four and a six in consecutive balls of McBrine in the very 2nd over of the innings. Litton set the tone of the chase. He made 23 off only 19 with 3 boundaries and a six. After his departure, Nazmul Shanto too couldn’t get going. He followed his first innings form and went back to hutch scoring only 4. Andy McBrine took the wicket of Shanto. And then veteran opener Tamim Iqbal and experienced campaigner Mushfiqur Rahim took the rein. They both added 62 runs and Tamim scored 41 runs.
After the fall of Tamim, Mushfiqur notched up his fifty and Mominul Haque scored a breezy 20 off 22 to take Bangladesh home. Mushfiqur Rahim was named player of the match for his first innings century and fifty in the last innings.
With this win, Bangladesh now have beaten Ireland in all formats of the game.
