Delhi Capitals beat Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs on Sunday (31st March). Fifties from David Warner and Rishabh Pant and a brilliant spell from Mukesh have taken DC overcome CSK.

Mukesh Kumar triggered the collapse of CSK in the middle overs to refrain time from chasing the total.
Earlier, opting to bat first, DC openers came out with all guns blazing. Prithibi Shaw and David Warner put away the bad balls and steamrolled over CSK bowlers, added 62 runs inside the powerplay. David Warner notched up a very composed fifty before a blinder of a catch from Matheesha Pathirana got him out. Prithibi Shaw made 43 off 27 balls in his comeback match.

In the middle overs, Pathirana's dipping yorkers clicking 150 kmph got two wickets in a row and brought CSK back into the game. And then it was DC skipper Rishabh Pant who took the onus and kept the ship going on. Tearing apart the CSK bowlers, Pant brought up a fifty after nearly 1.5 years. He smacked a quick-fire 51 off 32 balls to post 191-5 on the board.

In reply, CSK had a sedate start as Rachin Ravindra consumed 12 deliveries only to score 2 runs. Khaleel Ahmed ran riot with the new ball as he removed both of the openers. Ajinkya Rahane held on there for a while and scored a brilliant 45 off 30 balls before getting out to Mukesh Kumar.

Mukesh Kumar was the hero behind DC's comeback in the middle overs. He removed Rahane, dangerous Dube and Sameer Rizvi for a golden duck and CSK were marginalised in the chase.

After a horrible collapse in the middle order, CSK succumbed to death and lost the plot. And ultimately lost the match by 20 runs.
