Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Rony Talukdar delivered impressive performances for Mohammedan on Thursday, April 25. Against a formidable side like Prime Bank Cricket Club, Rony produced an undefeated innings of 141 off 131 balls while Miraz scored 53 runs off 29 balls. Nevertheless, the T20 World Cup squad does not include these two cricket players.

Those who are thinking of the World Cup, they have been invited to the preparation camp of the Zimbabwe series. Even though Rony and Miraz were formerly regulars for the national team, they have both been dropped. Rony considers Miraz's absence to be regrettable, even if he attributes his own removal to the BPL's poor performance.

Talking about the national team, Rony said, “Definitely, it is something that I’ll miss. If I played in the BPL well, perhaps it would not have happened. BPL did not go well for me. I’m trying to rebuild myself. I’m trying to do something better. It is natural for players to have bad times as well as good times. If one does well, another opportunity may come.”

While blaming his BPL form for his removal, Rony believes that poor luck has prevented teammate Miraz from making the national squad. “I talked about mine. I feel like I am not in the camp because of the poor last BPL. And I will say Miraz is unlucky,” Rony added.
