India’s dominant seven-wicket win over Bangladesh in the second Test in Kanpur has sparked a lot of conversation, with former England captain Michael Vaughan even comparing their style of play to England’s much-discussed ‘Bazball.’ India’s aggressive approach to Test cricket under the guidance of newly appointed head coach Gautam Gambhir has now earned the label ‘Gamball’ from legendary cricketers Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist.

India's fearless batting display in the Kanpur Test, despite losing two full days to rain, has drawn admiration from across the cricketing world. Michael Vaughan, speaking on the Club Prairie Fire podcast alongside Adam Gilchrist, was impressed with the way India snatched victory after being restricted by the weather. He humorously stated that India seems to have "copied" England’s famous ‘Bazball’ approach, noting the team's aggressive chase in their second innings.

"I’ve to say, this is a remarkable Test match. India went on to bat... their cricket is fantastic. It is great to see India now becoming Bazballers. They got 285 in 34.4 overs, they copied England,” Vaughan said during the discussion.

Despite the rain interruptions, chasing 95 runs comfortably and clinching the series 2-0. The term ‘Gamball’ was coined by Adam Gilchrist during the same podcast, noting how similar India’s strategy was to England’s.

Gilchrist added humor to the conversation by saying, “I think you're fine. (Gautam) Gambhir has already patented Gamball. Now, England need to tread carefully.”

Michael Vaughan agreed, replying, “Gamball looks very similar to Bazball to me.”
