Netherlands thumped Nepal by 7 wickets to register their second victory of the tournament on Saturday (24th June).
Earlier the day, Netherlands won the toss and opted to bowl first. Being put into bat first, Nepal lost their first inside the 3rd over as Aasif Sheikh went back to the pavilion. Kushal Bhurtal scored 27 off 42 deliveries. While number three batter Bhim Sharki scored 22 off 56 balls. Skipper Rohit Paudel made 33 off 55 but was unable to prolong his innings as he perished off Van Beek.
The middle order of the Nepal had been the same as every batter got start but couldn’t long their chances and hence they kept giving away wickets at the crunch moments. At the end, Sandeep Lamichane scored 27 to take his side to 167-10 after 44.3 overs. Van Beek was the pick of the bowlers from Netherlands as he picked up 4 wickets, while others helped him with one or two as well.
