India have won the toss and elected to field first in the last match of the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup on Friday (September 15) in Colombo.
Tilak Varma India have already confirmed the
final so they have opted for the experiments in this match. They make five
changes in their squad. Most of the changes have come in the bowling sector. Virat
Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Siraj have
been rested for the match. Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed
Shami, and Prasidh Krishna replace them in the playing XI. Tilak has been
handed the ODI debut. However, Shreyas Iyer is not still fully fit to be in the
main XI.
On the other hand, Bangladesh make the same number of changes as India. Opener Naim Sheikh, who has been out of form throughout the tournament, replaces my young Tanzid Hasan Tamim, who made his debut in this tournament. Anamul Haque Bijoy is also back in the squad after almost 1 year as Mushfiqur Rahim made himself unavailable for the birth of his second child.
The whole pace attack has been also changed as Mahedi Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Tanzim Hasan Sakib take the place of Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and Hasan Mahmud. Tanzim Hasan Sakib has been handed the debut for Bangladesh.
