Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bowl first in the first Test against Pakistan on Saturday (August 31) in Rawalpindi after the first-day play of the Test was washed out due to rain.

Pakistan have made two changes and brought a main spinner and a pacer after opting for all-out pace attack for the first Test. Mir Hamza and Abrar Ahmed have replaced Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah.

On the other hand, Bangladesh couldn’t get Mahmudul Hasan Joy again. They have made one change. Pacer Shoriful Islam has been given rest and Taskin Ahmed is back in the squad after more than 1 year. He played for Bangladesh A against Pakistan Shaheens recently to regain his fitness.

Rain has disrupted the first day of the second Test. On the second day, the first session will start from 10:45 AM and continue till 1:00 PM. After a 40-minute lunch break, the second session runs from 1:40 PM to 3:55 PM, followed by a 20-minute tea break. The final session lasts from 4:15 PM to 6:15 PM, with the possibility of extending play by 30 minutes to complete the overs.

Bangladesh won the first Test by showing a dominating performance. They won the match by 10 wickets and scripted their first-ever Test win against Pakistan.
