South Africa have steamrolled over England and have beaten by a mammoth 229 runs on Saturday (21st October) at Wankhede Stadium. Heinrich Klaasen's blitzkrieg 109 off just 67 deliveries aided by Marco Jansen's swashbuckling 75 off 42 deliveries and Reeza Hendricks' 85 helped them thump England by 229 runs.

The Klaasen and Jansen partnership outplayed the world champions. 
England won the toss and chose to bowl first. Coming out to bat first, South Africa lost Quinton De Kock earlier. Reeza Hendricks played a fine innings of 85 off just 75 balls. Where Van Der Dussen scored 60 from 61 balls and Aiden Markram made 42 off 44 balls.

England brought themsevles back by picking up some quick wickets. But the late bursts from Heinrich Klaasen and Jansen absolutely obliterated the English bowling lineup and made them lacklustre. The partnership was worth of 151 runs where both of the batters were dealing in boundaries. There were raining of sixes at the Wankhede Stadium. Klaasen notched up his 4th hundred of the year and made an indomitable 109 off 67 balls. And Marco Jansen was more brutal, he raced to 75 off only 42 balls. South Africa pkstsd an indomitable total of 399 on the board after alloted 50 overs.

In reply, England were crushing down. They lost Johny Bairstow earlier of their innings, and Joe Root too couldn’t hang on as Marco Jansen was breathing fire with the new ball under the lights. Rabada cought and bowled Stokes and England fell into a deep deep sea. Buttler came and smoked for a while but couldn’t make it longer. England were marginalised for 68-6. They were on the verge of getting bowled out for less than 100. But the late partnership between Gus Atkinson and Mark Wood helped them passing 150 mark barrier. And score 170 before getting bowled out.

Gerald Coetzee picked up 3 wickets, while Marco Jansen got 2 in this thumping win. Heinrich Klaasen was named as the player of the match for his outstanding 109 run innings.
