Rising star Jishan Alam delivered yet another storming performance with the bat as Sylhet Division secured their second win in the NCL T20. In the fourth-round match, Sylhet defeated Khulna by six wickets, with Jishan’s aggressive innings leading the way.

Electing to bat first, Khulna posted a total of 144/7 in 20 overs. Skipper Nurul Hasan Sohan remained unbeaten with a fighting knock of 48 runs off 34 balls, which included two boundaries and three sixes. Contributions from Ziaur Rahman (21 off 17 balls) and Mohammad Mithun (20 off 16 balls) helped stabilize the innings. Sylhet’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Ebadot Hossain and Nabil Samad, both picking up two wickets each.

Chasing 145, Sylhet got off to a solid start with an opening partnership of 78 runs between Tawfique Khan Tushar and Jishan Alam. Tushar played a steady knock of 24 runs off 28 balls before being dismissed, but Jishan continued to dominate.

The young hard-hitter smashed an electrifying 73 off 48 balls, including 4 fours and 6 sixes, anchoring the chase with remarkable composure. In the end, Tofael Ahmed sealed the win with a quick-fire unbeaten 23 off 12 balls, as Sylhet comfortably reached the target with 9 balls and 6 wickets to spare.
