Gemcon Khulna have thumped Gazi Group Chattogram by 47 runs in Qualifier 1 at Mirpur to book a place in the Final of Bangabandhu T20 Cup 2020. Jahurul, Mashrafe storm Khulna into finals

Chattogram failed to cope up with the pressure of 211 in road to final, managing only 163 for the loss of all wickets in 19.4 overs. Liton Das got Chattogram to a quick start despite Soumya Sarkar was dismissed for a golden duck by Mashrafe Bin Mortaza in the first over. Mashrafe then returned to take the big scalp of Liton, who hit 13-ball 24. Skipper Mohammad Mithun was in short of runs in this tournament. The stage was set and he cashed in with a half-century. Mithun played 35 balls for 53 runs including 3 fours and 3 sixes. Ariful Haque's part-time medium pace bluffed him. Chattogram could not get any momentum. Mustafizur Rahman picked 2 for 31 in 3.4 overs. He was banished from bowling after sending down two beamers in the last over. Mashrafe hit Soumya for a big six on the free hit ball. The final will be held on December 18. Chattogram will meet Beximco Dhaka in the second qualifier on Tuesday (December 15).
