Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were the first team to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. Under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, KKR operated at top gear consistently and rightly so, they were able to finish the league stage as the table toppers.

Meanwhile, captain Shreyas Iyer has a strong message for the KKR fans ahead of the clash. He urged the supporters to keep an electrifying atmosphere as they will try their maximum best to pitch in with a top-class performance.

"We would be putting our best foot forward, hoping to give you the best experience. We want you to keep the stadium's atmosphere electrifying, the way you have been throughout, and just keep backing the players. Three things that I am looking forward to is win, win and win," Shreyas said in a Star Sports video.

Furthermore, Iyer opened up on the blend of overseas and domestic talent in his team and then labelled him lucky as a captain this season. Iyer hasn't been able to produce spark as a batter but as a captain, he led the team ever so well and has also been able to bring the best out of his players, which is a good sign so far.

"All of them are unique in their own and they have immense experience in their career and the way they have played for their teams in the past few years is something that we all always cherish after the matches. I am lucky as a captain to have them in my team also the players who are currently part of the squad, we have got immense talent, skill and potential overall if you see," he added.
