Following the allegations of Haris Rauf's altercation with Wahab Riaz, Pakistan's reliable media sources said that Haris' no-objection letter (NOC) to play in the Big Bash League (BBL) may be withheld given this incident. A similar indication was found in the words of Wahab. But in the end, PCB gave NOC to three players including Haris.

Haris Rauf originally made a name for himself as a white-ball bowler. However, Pakistan's new chief selector Wahab wanted to keep him in the Test team because of his pace. But Rauf refused to play the Test series in Australia citing fitness issues. Wahab feels that Rauf lied to play the BBL. So Wahab expressed his anger on Haris in the media.

"The Pakistan Cricket Board has issued no-objection certificates (NOC) to fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan and leg-spinner Usama Mir for the Big Bash League 2023-24. The board has issued the NOCs considering the workload of players and the future tours programme of the national men's team," PCB said in a statement.

"The PCB understands that this decision is in the best interests of all the stakeholders involved while balancing the importance of game time with workload management," it added.

Just three days before the start of the Big Bash League (BBL), two fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan and leg-spinner Usama Mir have been finally given a no-objection letter by the PCB.
