In the latest round of the National Cricket League (NCL) T20 tournament, Dhaka Metro and Dhaka Division both clinched commanding victories. Dhaka Metro defeated Rangpur Division by 7 wickets, while Dhaka Division triumphed over Rajshahi Division by the same margin. Key performances from both teams, including blistering half-centuries and brilliant bowling, ensured the victories.

Dhaka Metro’s bowlers were superb, with Abu Hider Rony claiming 3 wickets for just 7 runs, and Alis Al Islam taking 3 wickets for 22 runs.
In reply, Dhaka Metro’s openers gave them a solid start, with Imran Uzzaman blasting 25 runs off 15 balls. However, it was Shadman Islam’s explosive 54 runs off 37 balls that led the team to victory. Islam’s knock included several boundaries and ensured the team’s dominance. Despite losing Islam at 118 runs, Anisul Islam’s composed 29* off 30 balls saw Dhaka Metro home with 7 wickets to spare.
Rangpur’s Alauddin Babu took 2 wickets, while Ariful Haque claimed 1 wicket in their defeat.
In another match at the Sylhet Academy Ground, Dhaka Division comfortably beat Rajshahi Division by 7 wickets. Rajshahi posted a total of 140 runs in 19.1 overs, with Sabbir Hossain top-scoring with 32 runs off 19 balls. Towhid Hridoy added 37 runs off 26 balls. However, Dhaka's bowlers were in excellent form, with Iqbal Hossain Imon taking 3 wickets.
Chasing 141, Dhaka’s openers, Rony Talukdar and Zawad Abrar, provided an explosive start. Their partnership of 96 runs laid the foundation for the chase. Rony was dismissed for 33 runs off 23 balls, but Zawad carried on, scoring a brilliant half-century. He made 62 runs off 39 balls before falling. The chase was completed comfortably, with Ariful Islam contributing 19 runs off 25 balls to guide Dhaka to a 7-wicket victory with 29 balls remaining.
Rajshahi's Wasi Siddiquee took 2 wickets, while Azaduzzaman Payel picked up 1 wicket.
