Bangladesh clinch historical Test series win against Pakistan with clean sweep

Miraz played like a gem all-rounder in the game, taking a fifer to fold Pakistan for 274 in the first innings and then played a solid innings. In the second innings, it was once again the deadly demonstration of Bangladeshi fast bowlers : Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana who ran riot to wrap up Pakistan for a paltry 172 runs, which Bangladesh chased down very comfortably to make history.

Bangladesh crashed Pakistan by 6 wickets to whitewash on Tuesday (September 3) at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in a two-match Test series.

Miraz played like a gem all-rounder in the game, taking a fifer to fold Pakistan for 274 in the first innings and then played a solid innings. In the second innings, it was once again the deadly demonstration of Bangladeshi fast bowlers : Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana who ran riot to wrap up Pakistan for a paltry 172 runs, which Bangladesh chased down very comfortably to make history.
Bangladesh started the day positively as the opening duo added 58 runs on the stand. However, Zakir Hasan was batting with great fluence before Mir Hamza knocked him over after a brisk 40 off 39 balls. And then Khurram Shahzad removed Shadman Islam and Bangladesh lost two wickets in a quick time.
But captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and No. 4 batter Mominul Haque stitched a vital partnership. Skipper Shanto got some runs under his belt after a lean patch, while Mominul too assisted him in the partnership. The duo kept the scoreboard ticking at a good rate to motor along the way towards the target.
Pakistan fumbled in the fielding, some dollies were let down. Bangladesh were very professional while chasing the total infront of a disciplined Pakistani bowling attack on a docile pitch. Shanto got out after a fine 38 off 81 balls as Agha Salman got him in a crucial time.
Mominul too got out but Mushfiqur and Shakib motored along the way to chase it down to whitewash Pakistan by 2-0.
Bangladesh made the miraculous comeback after reeling at 26-6 infront of the onburst of Khurram Shahzad and Mir Hamza. But Litton Das and Mehidy Miraz strung for a 165-stand to make close the runs towards Pakistan, 12 short. In the second innings, Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana ran riot through the Pakistani batters to fold them up for a paltry 172 runs.
Zakir Hasan played a fantastic innings to give Bangladesh a flying start, which took the game away from Pakistan at the very beginning. And then Shanto and Mushfiq’s little cameos helped Bangladesh script history at Rawalpindi as they've whitewashed Pakistan by 2-0.
