Australia’s tour of South Africa next year for Test series may move to Australia in Perth due to COVID-19 issues currently in South Africa. For the issue, England’s ongoing tour to South Africa has been canceled. Australia's Test series in South Africa may move to Perth

Australia are scheduled to face South Africa in a three-match Test series next year between February 14 to March 13 according to World Test Championship (WTC) schedule. The series is supposed to be one of the important as for the WTC final in 2021 in England. But if this happens, Australia will play 3 home Test series with the ongoing series against India. Cricket South Africa (CSA) and Cricket Australia (CA) have been held talks with each other for the idea according to ESPNCricinfo. They are thinking this because of the pace and bounce in the pitch are almost similar in both South Africa and Australia. But if the series doesn’t happen, Perth will pass the summer without any international cricket. "We've been a little bit bemused and disappointed how we haven't been scheduled for one of the prime series in the cricket calendar," the WACA chief executive Christina Matthews said in May when the original summer schedule was announced. "The government invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to make Perth Stadium cricket friendly from the start, so all the facilities for cricket were built into that, and at the time Cricket Australia gave a guarantee to the government that they would absolutely be utilising that stadium to its fullest. "Also, we have over 10,000 members, who year after year invest in cricket. Rusted on fans are here, the crowds are better, the facilities are better, the corporate hospitality has more flexibility and more potential. So to us, it doesn't quite pass the pub test."
