The Rajasthan Royals won the toss in a critical game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, and elected to bowl first. This was a wise move as their new ball bowlers, mainly Trent Boult, seriously damaged the Mumbai Indians' batting lineup, restricting them to 125/9 in their 20 overs. Trent Boult picked up 3 wickets in his 4 overs. Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya was the highest scorer for them; he scored 34 runs from 21 balls.

In reply, the Rajasthan Royals managed to chase the target in 15.3 overs. The batter, Riyan Prag scored a brilliant march winning knock; he scored 54 runs from 39 balls, helping his team win by 6 wickets and register their third win of the season.
