West Indies have won the toss and opted to bat first against Bangladesh in the second Test at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.

West Indies are leading the two-match series following a three-wicket win where they chased 395, the highest successful chase in Tests in Asia and fifth highest overall. It was possible due to debutants Kyle Mayers, who hit 310-ball 210*, and Nkrumah Bonner (80). West Indies have made one change to their playing XI. Alzarri Joseph comes in for Kemar Roach as the tourists bank on two spinners - Rahkeem Cornwall and Jomel Warrican. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have made three changes including two forced ones with Shadman Islam and Shakib Al Hasan missing out with injuries. Mustafizur Rahman has been dropped. The left-arm pacer had received warnings on landing on the danger area during the first Test. Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Mithun and Abu Jayed Rahi are included to the team. Soumya is in as opener while Mithun will bat in the middle-order. Rahi is the lone frontline pacer but Soumya's part-time medium pace may assist him.
