Australia women thumped Bangladesh women by 8 wickets on Wednesday (27th March) at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium to clean sweep Bangladesh by 3-0. Kim Garth and Ashleigh Gardner dominated with the ball to bundle out Bangladesh under 100 [89] for the third time on the trot. Chasing down 90, Aussie women lost 2 wickets but chased it down comfortably.

Bangladesh were underperforming throughout the series as in all of the three matches they were bundled out for under 100 runs. In the first match, they were bowled for 95, and then in the second match their innings were wrapped up for 97 and in the third match it became way more worse as their innings stopped to 89. The skipper Nigar Sultana Joty thinks Bangladesh could not give even 10% of their ability.

"We couldn’t even give 10% of our abilities. I was surprised, the way we played last 6 months, 2-1 errors could have been accepted but whole team played different kind of Cricket in the series. It seemed like players were backfoot by their own. I think we couldn't play as a team." - Nigar Sultana.

She was asked if there were any lacking in their practice before the series. She said :

"We had a great preparation for the series. Look when we practice we play with different mindset, but when we come to face quality opponents we have to apply ourselves differently. So it becomes tough for us. We as a coach or as a captain can't offer much, when we see a batter batting flawlessly at nets but when in the match they seem like shell shocked and play with different mindset. I don’t think we had lacking in practice. Rather I will say we couldn’t play according to our capacity." - Joty added.
