New Zealand beat Pakistan by 43 runs (DLS method) to complete the cleansweep over the tourists. Fifties from Rhys Mariu and skipper Michael Bracewell steadied the hosts to 264 on the board in the shortened 42 overs. In response, Ben Sears shone once again to pick up a fifer and helped his side get 43 runs victory.

Being inserted to bat first, New Zealand lost their opener Nick Kelly cheaply. But Rhys Mariu and Henry Nicholls stitched a superb 78-run stand between them, while the former one bringing up his maiden ODI fifty. But both of them departed in quick succession.

However, Daryl Mitchell and Tim Seifert again steadied the ship for the hosts, adding a crucial 61-run stand between them. At the tad backend of the innings, Kiwi skipper Michael Bracewell came out all the guns blazing, smashing a blistering 59 off only 40 deliveries to help his side get a formidable total of 264 on the board.

In response, Pakistan lost their opener Imam-ul-Haq as he retired hurt after a blow. But Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam handled the initial blow, adding 51-run stand before the departure of the former one. Wickets kept tumbling but Babar Azam held firm one end, scoring a fifty but departed soon after to Daryl Mitchell.

Tayyab Tahir tried to do something magical but was unable to pull off the heist as the Kiwis claimed another commendable victory to thrash the visitors by 3-nil.
