After replacing Rohit Sharma As a Mumbai Indian Captain Nothing seems to be going in MI captain Hardik Pandya's favour as they suffered another loss in Indian Premier League 2024.
After winning the toss, the MI skipper asked Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to bat first. SRH put up an impressive total of 277-3 and defeated the Mumbai Indians (MI) by 31 runs in a thrilling encounter filled with sixes at the Uppal Stadium.

Hardik Pandya's actions, pushing Malinga away without even looking at him, suggest that there could have been some unresolved issues or discomfort between them.

However, after the match, MI captain Hardik Pandya stood up for the bowlers after a tough game, emphasizing that the young ones will take valuable lessons from it.
“They (the bowlers) were good, it was tough out there, almost 500 runs were scored and the wicket was helping the batters, we could have done a few things here and there, but having said that, we have a young bowling attack and we will learn,” said Hardik Pandya.
“If the ball goes this many times into the crowd, you will need time to get the overs done. Everyone (the batters) looked good and it is just a matter of time before we put things right. He (Kwena Maphaka) was fantastic, coming into his first game and getting overwhelmed, he was alright and backed his skillset, just needs some game time,” he added.
Their next game will be against the Rajasthan Royals on Monday in Wankhede Stadium. they only lost 1 time in their last 5 matches against RR.The Mumbai Indians are eager to reclaim their winning momentum in the IPL 2024 season.
