Jake Fraser-McGurk pulled off an absolute stunner to send in-form Aniket Verma back to the pavilion in the IPL 2025 clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC). Aniket who was leading SRH’s charge with a blistering half-century saw his innings cut short after a breathtaking piece of fielding.

The SRH youngster was in red-hot form smashing 74 off just 41 balls with five fours and six towering sixes. His knock had given SRH a fighting total but his departure shifted the momentum.

The dramatic moment unfolded in the 16th over when Kuldeep Yadav bowled a short delivery. Aniket picked up the length quickly and unleashed a ferocious pull shot toward mid-wicket. The ball was traveling fast and looked destined to clear the boundary.

However Fraser-McGurk had other ideas. He sprinted across timed his leap perfectly and plucked the ball out of the air with both hands. Not only was the catch clean but he also managed to stay inside the boundary making it one of the finest moments of the match.

SRH struggled after Aniket’s dismissal slipping to 148-8 before getting bowled out for 163 in 18.4 overs. As of the latest update DC’s chase is off to a solid start reaching 33-0 in 3.4 overs with Faf du Plessis and Fraser-McGurk looking comfortable at the crease.
